Film Contest Submission

To be eligible to enter, you must meet all of the following conditions:
 

• You must be involved in the entertainment industry as a filmmaker, producer, director, film crew, actor, or any talent associated with/in film. Zenbu reserves the right to open the contest to qualifying California residents.

• You must be 18 years of age or older and a California resident when you submit your entry. 

​

• You must download and use the Zenbu app to find, manage, and compensate the talent used in creating your submission.

​

• You must have the consent of all holders of rights in your entry. You may submit a film authored by a group or an organization with proper consent, but only one individual may enter and be eligible for the prize. 

​

• You must not be a past or present employee of Zenbu, involved in the production or administration of the contest, or an immediate family member of any of the foregoing.
   

• This offer is void where prohibited by law.

Things We Will Look For in the Production of Your Trailer:

• Originality and Creativity

• Acting and Narration Performances

• Editing and Technical Quality

• Story

• Emotional Impact

• Entertainment 

• Potential of the promoted film based on both the trailer and written description.

• Effective use of the Zenbu app

• Bonus Option: Prominent featuring or promotion of the Zenbu app in trailer/short

To accept the prize, the potential winner must complete and sign the Declaration of Acceptance and it must be received by Zenbu no later than 11:59PM PDT five business days after the date of the notification e-mail. 

• Your complete entry must be e-mailed to info@zenbu.app by November 28, 2023, 11:59PM PDT.

• A complete entry consists of a short video trailer for a proposed film and the following completed documents:  The Entry Form, Rights of Publicity, and Declaration of Acceptance.

• The trailer must be an original work created by the submitter or by a group or organization that the submitter represents. 

​

• The trailer must be no longer than 10 minutes in length. It may be submitted as a downloadable file in any freely and easily viewable format or as a link to an online streaming service.

​

• All contributions to the entry must be properly attributed. Any copyrighted material used in the entry must be properly licensed and disclosed.

• Submit forms along with trailer to info@zenbu.app 
   

The submitter of the winning entry will receive $3,000 USD. In addition, if the winning entry is judged to prominently feature or promote the Zenbu app, the submitter will receive a bonus of $1,000 USD, for a total of $4,000.

All members of the project whose image, voice, or likeness appear in the film/trailer must sign this consent form along with the Declaration of Acceptance in order to qualify for submission.
